Well-fitting, high-quality men's jeans are a wardrobe essential. But do you know where this piece comes from and what its history is? In the very beginning, in 1873, jeans were intended as work trousers for gold miners thanks to their strong fabric. It wasn't until the 1950s that jeans really started to get the hype. James Dean wore them in the film Rebel Without a Cause and suddenly jeans became a symbol of rebellion among young people. And if you can't imagine how powerful a symbol that was, it might help if I told you that there had to be a ban on jeans in cinemas, theatres, restaurants and schools. But a few years later, Marilyn Monroe wore them in the movie Mustangs, and it shot jeans into space. Everyone started wearing them in different designs, colors or cuts. People often altered them in different ways - sewing on patches, cutting, tearing or dyeing. There was no limit to creativity back then. In addition, people also named them differently - in the Czech Republic we like to call them jeans after the Italian brand sold in Tuzex in the 1970s; or Texan jeans after the American Texas, where they were worn mainly by cowboys. Now, jeans are one of the most common trousers you see on the streets because they are versatile, long-lasting and go with almost every piece in your wardrobe.

Jeans, or jeans if you prefer, have been around for 148 years, so it makes sense that there isn't just one style, but many styles and names that we all often get lost in.

Don't know what sneakers or shoes to wear with men's jeans to make your outfit number one? Try the iconic adidas Stan Smith sneakers in white. You'll love them. You can wear them with pants other than jeans and their white colour makes creating outfits quick and easy. And that's what we all want, to save a few minutes in the morning so we can get some more sleep. Another obvious choice of shoes to pair with jeans is definitely the New Balance 574. It will make you walk like a cloud and brighten up your outfit with its colourful design. To top it all off, I recommend choosing canvas Converse Chuck Taylor 70s with your jeans. These are sneakers that have pride of place on the streets because they are comfortable, stylish and versatile. Don't like either silhouette?
